Montague Furniture

Timeless craft meets 21st century medium

Charles Dunning Montague established his own business in 1949, thus beginning a tradition that has been carried down through three generations of the Montague family. His philosophy was simple: to create beautiful, enduring hand-crafted furniture. It’s a philosophy that his son, Doug Montague, and grandsons, Stuart and Brad, are proud to continue.

Montague Furniture’s website embodies the visual values that make the firm’s furniture so special. Luxurious colour and an elegantly balanced design are used in an online gallery of domestic and commercial work as well as prestigious public and heritage commissions (both manufacture and restoration work).

The success of this web project – the company's first venture online – led to our being commissioned to produce complementary printed materials, in which the warm timber hues and intriguing design details were used as key elements within a beautifully simple but premium quality design and print job.

Copywriting was also a key component in these highly integrated projects, with a relaxed conversational style chosen to convey the products’ individuality and artistry and the owners’ passion for their craft.
